Sattar Kawoosh was born in 1963, in Baghdad, Iraq. His affinity towards art led him to study at The Art Academy of Baghdad, from 1984 to 1990, whereby he possesses a Visual Arts Diploma. In the following years thereafter, his work granted him recognition through achievements of numerous awards. His work experience in the years between 1992 and 1994 includes that in journalism and illustration for books. Much of his work has found their way into exhibitions across the globe. Sattar currently resides in The Netherlands, where he continues his commitment and passion for art.
